Charles & Dean Appoints Paul Bartley as Non-Executive Director

Charles & Dean, one of the UK’s leading independent finance brokers, is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul Bartley as a Non-Executive Director. Bartley brings with him over 40 years of deep industry expertise across corporate finance, asset finance and specialist lending.

A respected figure in the financial services sector, Paul was most recently Managing Director of Asset Finance at Hampshire Trust Bank, where he established a highly regarded car finance proposition serving high-net-worth clients. His track record includes founding and leading Close Brothers Leasing, which he grew into a market-leading business with a loan book in excess of £500 million and consistently strong annual pre-tax profits, before selling his stake to Close Brothers in 2013.

Throughout his career, Paul has demonstrated a strong ability to identify underserved segments and drive substantial growth with sound credit and operational risk management. He also holds a reputation for creating dynamic and motivated teams, fostering a culture in which people and performance thrive.
